FAQ
Urban Paws holds public liability insurance specifically designed for pet sitting. In addition, we carry current police certificates. Documents will be provided to our clients during our ‘meet & greet’ session for their reference.
- • How many times a day do pets get visited during pet sitting (House Visits)?
Normally pet sitting visits are only once per day for a period of 30mins for cats and caged animals and 1hr for dogs (includes a 30 min walk). Two or three visits can be arranged per day at additional costs.
- • How many dogs does the dog walker take out at one given time?
We have a strict policy of no more than 4 dogs at a time. This is to ensure that the dogs are allowed to socialise better with their walk buddies as well as with us.
- • Are dogs allowed off lead during dog walking?
'First time' walkers are never allowed off lead. Dogs are only allowed off lead in dog friendly parks if our walkers have confidence and trust that the dog has showed signs of recall. This is also subject to owner permitting.
- • How will I know that my dog is being walked?
Where possible, we do keep you up to date on your dog's progress with us. We do this via sms, emails or even facebook! Giving you the opportunity to see that big smile on your mate's face!
- • As this is predominantly a mobile service, is the transportation for my pet safe?
We own an air conditioned & ventilated van ensuring that your pet is comfortable at all times. Dogs are safely restrained to ensure minimum movement and other pets will not be accepted if not placed in cages. We carry a first aid kit as well with us at all times.
- • Do you provide services to dogs with special needs?
Yes, we do. We can administer medicine, follow detailed instructions or arrange for personal & shorter walks for puppies as well as old or lame dogs.
- • What if I wanted to cancel a booking?
We understand that sometimes, things just don't go according to plan. We do allow refunds provided we are given a minimum of 48hrs notice for the cancellation. |
